In this role, you will lead a dedicated team to evolve and implement a comprehensive Design System essential for driving AI-assisted UI generation. You will collaborate with various cross-functional teams, ensuring that the Design System serves as the backbone of consistent and high-quality user experiences, regardless of the method of creation. Your strategic input and management of the design team will significantly influence the product direction and enhance the overall quality of design execution.Accountabilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small product design team focused on Design System evolution and adoption.
• Work hands-on to design, refine, and document components, patterns, tokens, and UX standards.
• Partner with Engineering and AI/ML counterparts to map the design system into AI-ready structures.
• Drive the strategic direction of the Design System to support AI-assisted UI generation.
• Influence product org leaders to align design system decisions with platform strategy.
• Establish governance, contribution models, and workflows for cross-team use.
• Embed testing, validation, and iteration into the design system lifecycle.
• Leverage GenAI tools to enhance documentation and usage insights.
• Foster collaboration across geographies and time zones.

Requirements

• 8+ years in product design, with 2+ years in a lead or management role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Design Systems components, tokens, documentation.
• Excellent interaction and visual design skills for high-quality system output.
• Experience with SaaS or enterprise-scale UX patterns.
• Deep experience in user testing and validation.
• Strong strategic framing skills for cross-functional influence.
• AI-forward mindset with demonstrated use of GenAI tools.
• Ability to work with partners to enhance system scalability.
• Excellent communication skills in distributed environments.
• Proficiency in Figma and understanding of design system best practices.
