- Lead the departments to create and achieve department goals to support the overall plant and business unit goals.
- Lead the continuous improvement effort of the area.
- Coordinate priorities and resources with peer-level managers for enhanced performance.
- Integrate 80/20 tools within the area of responsibility and manage improvements.
- Coordinate with Technical resources to support volatile customer needs.
- Create department goals and corresponding metrics to support the business objectives.
- Communicate with the departmental Supervisors, Foremen, and Employees on the progress of achieving the area goals.
- Evaluate and manage the daily metrics and key performance measure.
- Ensure the organizations quality goals are met through compliance with ISO procedures and standard operating procedures.
- Understand and manage cost drivers for the area and direct the organizations focus on cost reduction.
- Ensure special projects are complete as required.
- Ensure monthly safety and goal meetings are conducted for all employees.
- Coordinate training and development of team members.
- Guide and develop feedback to supervisors for their professional and personal growth.
- Review and approve the annual performance evaluations and help others formulate goals.
- Understand and support the organization vision, mission, and goals
- Strong leadership and management skills with the demonstrated aptitude to accomplish goals with and through others.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards.
- Knowledge of the product and its manufacturing process.
- Knowledge of NEMA and ISO standards applicable to the operations.
- Working knowledge and application of lean and six sigma tools.
- Ability to interact and lead problem-solving with departments and peers in the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, and influence others within the organization.
- Ability to develop and manage an environment of trust, respect, and integrity within the workforce.
- Strong oral, presentation, and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree Required
Engineering, Business, or other Technical Discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years in a similar or industry-related role.
- 2 years of which must be in a leadership capacity. Experience in a manufacturing environment is heavily preferred.
