About This Position
Seeking a temporary instructor for the MSW program 2026 Spring Term.
The Adjunct Faculty member in Social Work is responsible for providing high-quality instruction that supports the academic, professional, and ethical development of students in alignment with program objectives and accreditation standards. This role involves teaching assigned undergraduate and/or graduate social work courses, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment, and contributing to the mission of the Social Work program.
Primary duties include preparing and delivering course content; developing and maintaining syllabi consistent with departmental guidelines and CSWE competencies; facilitating classroom (in person) instruction; and assessing student learning through assignments, exams, and other evaluative methods. The adjunct faculty member provides timely and constructive feedback, maintains accurate academic records, and upholds university policies related to grading, attendance, and academic integrity.
Adjunct faculty are expected to hold regular office hours or be accessible to students, support student learning and professional development, and communicate effectively with program leadership. Additional responsibilities may include participation in course coordination, curriculum updates, assessment activities, and meetings as needed. All duties are performed in accordance with institutional policies, ethical standards of the social work profession, and best practices in teaching and learning.
