Job Overview:
The CDL Driver is a Class A licensed driver who is responsible for the safe transportation of vehicles in the mobile medical imaging division (Diagnostic Laboratories d/b/a Invivo Molecular Imaging). This role involves the operation of Class A commercial vehicles over assigned routes within Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia and the surrounding states, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service and adhering to all federal, state, and company regulations.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Transportation, as well as set up and take down, of 48-foot trailers and smaller units equipped for mobile medical imaging from hospital to hospital or clinic to clinic in an assigned region.
- Performing minor maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles.
- Scheduling required service on tractor and trailers.
- Cleaning/washing of interior and exterior of units.
- Ability to work assigned shift, typically in the evenings after patient care is completed.
Job Requirements │ Skills │ Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of Class A CDL experience
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission
- Regional travel is required; candidate must reside or be willing to reside between Knoxville, TN and London, KY
- Knowledge of FMCSA/FMCSR, minor mechanical skills and moderate computer skills
- Compliance with FMCSA/FMCSR regulations
- Compliance with standards and procedures set forth by Invivo Molecular Imaging
- Familiarity with computers and software required
Physical and Intellectual Requirements:
Manual dexterity for manipulating small items; regularly lift at least 50 pounds throughout each shift and to be able to lift 75 pounds on occasion. Able to handle standing, walking and sitting for 4+ hours with limited rest intervals; good eye-hand coordination; fair eyesight (with or without correction lenses); normal hearing in at least one ear (hearing range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz); ability to analyze situations, set priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; effective organizational skills; a commitment to continuous learning; an ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
