SMC MATERIAL HANDLER at Tietex International Ltd – Spartanburg, South Carolina

Job Summary: The material handler is responsible for cutting panels, loading and unloading ETON, steaming, inspecting, folding, baling, and packaging SmartCaps. Must also work safely and be aware of company policies for the job and the work area.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

1. Complete knowledge of all emergency and safety devices on all equipment used in department and must also know and adhere to all set up work instructions and notes
2. Is responsible for all plant and departmental safety, quality, housekeeping rules and procedures
3. Perform any tasked deemed necessary by management or Shift Leader

Minimum Requirements:

1. High School graduate or GED preferred
2. Fundamental reading, writing and math skills
3. Licensed fork lift operator or willing to obtain license
4. Basic computer skills required
5. Ability to function within a team-oriented environment

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver up to 500 lb. gaylord boxes
2. Stand on concrete 8-12 hrs. per day
3. Travel over 200’ approximately 20 times per day
4. Climb steps and ladders when necessary
5. Good vision. Must be able to identify off quality by defect

Candidates must be able to work assigned shift and workdays to include overtime and weekends when scheduled.
