The Director of Case Law AI-Driven Content will lead and scale AI-enabled case law initiatives that enhance research and editorial capabilities. This role combines strategic vision, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on oversight to deliver accurate, trusted, and production-ready AI content. The Director will manage global editorial and subject matter teams, partner with Product, Technology, Data Science, and UX stakeholders, and drive innovation across the case law lifecycle. Operating in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, this position is pivotal in defining AI content strategy, establishing best practices, and promoting responsible AI adoption across editorial workflows.
- Lead global editorial and subject matter expert teams to execute AI-driven case law initiatives aligned with product priorities and customer needs.
- Develop and maintain roadmaps for AI content projects, from proof-of-concept through production deployment.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to leverage AI across the case law lifecycle, including collection, conversion, enrichment, summarization, classification, linking, and updates.
- Partner with Product, Technology, and Data Science teams to ensure AI-generated content meets quality, accuracy, and trust standards.
- Establish governance frameworks for AI content, including human-in-the-loop review, version control, auditability, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with other editorial and operational leaders to transition mature AI solutions into standard workflows.
- Define and track success metrics for AI content initiatives, incorporating feedback loops from editorial review, customer signals, and downstream usage data.
- Promote innovation, responsible AI adoption, and continuous improvement across content teams.
- Bachelor’s degree required; JD or legal studies preferred.
- 8+ years’ experience in legal content, editorial, or product roles, with 5+ years of people management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership of AI-enabled or automation-driven content initiatives.
- Strong understanding of case law content, legal research workflows, and editorial standards.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects in matrixed organizations.
- Knowledge of AI technologies, including LLMs, NLP, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data-driven insights, including advanced Excel and reporting tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and global teams.
- Strategic thinker with innovation-driven, results-oriented mindset, capable of operating across time zones.
- Competitive base pay ranging from $118,300 – $263,800, dependent on location.
