Senior Manager, Literacy Advisor

This role leads a national team of Literacy Consultants, providing strategic guidance and instructional expertise to support sales and customer engagement. You will act as the bridge between literacy research, particularly the Science of Reading, and practical classroom solutions, ensuring literacy products are communicated with clarity and impact. The position involves shaping go-to-market strategies, driving consistent field execution, and aligning consultant efforts with organizational priorities and evolving market needs. You will mentor and develop a high-performing team, foster collaboration, and support large-scale district engagements. This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional instructional knowledge, and strong cross-functional partnership skills. Ideal candidates are passionate about literacy, capable of influencing multiple stakeholders, and thrive in a remote, dynamic environment with national travel.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Literacy Consultants to deliver research-aligned, high-impact customer engagements
  • Partner with Sales and cross-functional teams to execute go-to-market strategies, aligning consultant deployment with organizational priorities
  • Develop scalable processes, playbooks, demo protocols, and templates to ensure consistency and effectiveness across the consultant team
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in literacy, connecting instructional research to product solutions and district goals
  • Provide strategic support in complex opportunities, presentations, demos, and national engagements
  • Collect and synthesize field insights to inform product enhancements, roadmap decisions, and messaging adjustments

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Literacy, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of PK–12 experience, including at least 3 years in district-level or state/agency leadership roles
  • Experience managing instructional leaders and teams, with demonstrated coaching and development skills
  • Deep knowledge of literacy research, instructional design, and the Science of Reading
  • Strong ability to translate instructional expertise into strategic product positioning and sales support
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to travel 50% or more for national engagements
  • Experience with curriculum, professional learning solutions, or blended learning models preferred
