Overview

Directs, coordinates work groups and improves processes in a team environment within the materials group. Coordinates production activities with all supervisors. Works to ensure inventory accuracy is at a high level to support proper scheduling, procurement, production, and financial accounting.



Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

Plans production operations and schedules establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products to insure customer on time delivery and quality product

Responsible for leading hourly teams that pull, put away and deliver material to support production in Assembly and Machining.

Analyzes, leads, facilitates, and sustains continuous improvement activities.

Responsible for both incoming and outgoing material in Shipping & Receiving.

Lead daily team activities to achieve Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery business metrics.

Work with ESH to insure a safe working environment and Zero accidents.

Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.

Evaluate, where necessary, key manufacturing processes (benchmarks/industry leaders/best practices) and develop plans to identify opportunities for improvement

Manages and coordinates cycle count program to ensure high levels of accuracy and within the guidelines established by accounting

Monitors and reports results of cycle count program

Conducts audits to ensure cycle counting integrity

Works with other team members to analyze or execute tasks associated with excess or obsolete inventory

Responsible for execution of inventory transactions necessary to reconcile records, transfer inventory, or other disposition related transactions

Evaluates inventory functions and processes to ensure suitability and performance taking action to recommend or execute actions to make systematic improvements.

Other duties may be assigned.



Qualifications

LEADERSHIP/TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, and at least 5 years of related experience required. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Strong analytical skills, good communication skills (written and verbal), excellent presentation skills, and strong technical skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various reports, business periodicals, and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from top management, employees, and suppliers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions. Ability to work with concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTING SKILLS

Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Applications to include Outlook. Strong familiarity with SAP- ERP systems preferred.

APICS C.P.I.M. is desirable
