Director, Revenue Cycle Management

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Revenue Cycle Management in the United States.

This leadership role sits at the core of a high-growth digital health organization, responsible for driving the financial performance and operational efficiency of the revenue cycle function. You will oversee the end-to-end collections and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate billing, strong cash flow visibility, and timely resolution of payer and client issues. The role requires a hands-on builder mindset, combining strategic leadership with operational execution in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. You will design and optimize workflows that reduce denials, improve recovery rates, and eliminate revenue leakage while maintaining strong payer relationships. Acting as a key cross-functional partner, you will work closely with finance, legal, and growth teams to align revenue cycle operations with broader business objectives. This is a highly impactful role where ownership, urgency, and results directly influence organizational growth and financial sustainability.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the full revenue cycle lifecycle, including collections forecasting, accounts receivable performance, and cash flow visibility for leadership.
  • Build, standardize, and continuously improve a high-performance collections engine focused on accuracy, speed, and revenue recovery.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in billing and collections workflows to reduce denials and shorten the AR cycle.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex billing disputes and payer negotiations, ensuring timely and favorable resolution.
  • Develop strong partnerships with health plans and clients to resolve systemic payment issues and improve contract performance.
  • Collaborate with growth, finance, legal, and operations teams to align billing strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Lead KPI tracking and data-driven performance management, adjusting strategies based on payer behavior and collection trends.
  • Oversee the billing and collections team, ensuring high-quality execution and a seamless experience for patients and health plan partners.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, including 2–3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong expertise in collections, accounts receivable, payer operations, and healthcare billing processes.
  • Proven experience negotiating and resolving complex payment and reimbursement issues with health plans or insurers.
  • Deep understanding of CMS regulations and commercial payer behavior.
  • Experience working with EMR and RCM systems, as well as payer portals; system migration experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of improving revenue cycle performance through data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build processes, lead teams, and drive accountability in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently and deliver measurable outcomes.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary range of $150,000–$170,000 plus bonus opportunities.
  • Remote-first work environment with flexible location options across the U.S.
  • Unlimited paid time off to support work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company support.
  • Access to registered dietitian sessions and wellness-focused benefits.
  • Opportunity to shape and scale a critical financial function in a high-growth digital health company.
  • Inclusive, mission-driven culture focused on improving health outcomes and access to care.
