We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Controller to lead financial operations across our fast-growing business. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role partners with executive leadership to strengthen profitability, cash flow, systems, and long term growth.

This is a highly visible leadership position with meaningful influence across operations, strategy, and business performance. As Controller, you won't just keep the books — you'll be a driving force behind our growth strategy, capital decisions, and operational excellence. For the right leader, this role is a clear path to CFO.

What You'll Do

Lead & Develop Your Team

  • Build and lead a finance team that drives strategic business performance.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and career development opportunities.

Shape Financial Strategy

  • Play a central role in shaping company strategy, translating vision into financially sound growth plans.
  • Use advanced financial modeling, benchmarking, and performance analytics to guide major investment and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner closely with the CFO to lead Board reporting, lender communication, and forward-looking cash flow planning.

Own Financial Operations

  • Own best in class financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, job cost reporting, and audit readiness.
  • Build financial dashboards that give leaders real-time clarity to move faster and make better decisions.
  • Guide working capital, capital investment planning and enterprise cash flow performance.
Who You Are

You're a finance leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. You're comfortable in the boardroom and on the shop floor. You hold yourself and your team to a high standard, and you bring others along with enthusiasm, not just authority.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance or accounting leadership experience.
  • Deep expertise in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • Strong ERP systems expertise, with integration experience a big plus.
  • Manufacturing environment experience; multi-site preferred.
  • Knowledge of Defense Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) is highly valued.
  • Proven ability to build high-performing teams and drive organizational improvement.
  • Outstanding communicator who can translate complex financials for any audience.
  • US citizenship required; located near or willing to relocate to Greater Cincinnati.
