About the role

Axle Logistics has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing transportation data and identifying opportunities to improve the business. Your primary goal is to work with leaders to identify and understand their needs, ultimately supporting all business units across the enterprise.

What you'll do

  • Reporting & Dashboards: Build data visualizations (often in Tableau) to support business units across the enterprise and show leadership key performance indicators.
  • Market Analysis: Use various data sources like DAT, FreightWaves SONAR, or internal TMS data to track market trends.
  • Carrier Analytics: Analyze carrier performance and costs to help the procurement team negotiate better "buy" rates.
  • RFP & Bid Management: Manage large-scale Request for Proposal (RFP) cycles. You’ll analyze thousands of "lanes" (origin-to-destination routes) and apply pricing models based on historical data and current market capacity.

Qualifications

  • Willing to work outside the standard schedule as required by project deadlines.
  • Data Visualization: Proficiency in Tableau or Power BI.
  • Industry Tools: Familiarity with DAT RateView, Truckstop.com, or FreightWaves.
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a fast-paced & high-performance environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, equivalent.
