Cashier - 2nd Shift (Part-Time) at TransChicago Truck Group – Shorewood, Illinois

We're looking for a part-time Cashier to handle all on-site payment transactions for all departments within the dealership. This role will be on the 2nd Shift: 2PM to 6PM (Monday through Friday)

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Cashier accepts cash, credit card, and open account payments for all parts invoices and repair orders.
• Cashier works with Counter staff and Service Advisors to ensure accurate and complete payment.
• Issues credit memos for parts and core returns under guidance from the Parts Manager.
• Cashier matches all parts invoices to ensure payment types; CC/Check or open account match.
• Responsible for petty cash /change drawer by completing daily reconciliation and hand-off for pre & post shifts.
• Processes all daily transaction sheets and submits to accounting on a daily basis.
• Maintains physical security of all cash during the assigned shift.
• Provides invoice copies as requested by customers.
• Process credit card deposits for the vehicle sales department as requested.
• Assists with Accounts Payable functions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or required experience:

• High school diplomas or general education degrees.
• 2 years of related or industry experience.
