This position is responsible for providing professional respiratory care through assessment, clinical judgement, treatment and instruction to any population group in need. The position is also responsible for providing certain cardiac and diagnostic procedures that will assist in providing quality care to the patient.

Holds a current national credential for Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)unless received credentials prior to year 2002, then is not required.

Holds a current Tennessee Registered Respiratory Therapist license.

Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP are required unless PRN employee and NRP is desired, but not required for initial hire.
