Clinical Coordinator-Bariatric Program at RWJBarnabas Health – New Brunswick, New Jersey

The Clinical Coordinator Bariatric Program oversees the full scope of service offered by the Bariatric Service line with the role of the interdisciplinary team manager,

The Clinical Coordinator Bariatric Program supports the patient process in all phases of care, guides bariatric patients through the healthcare system by facilitating required nutritional appointments, assisting with access issues, developing relationships with service providers and tracking trends of interventions and outcomes,

The Clinical Coordinator Bariatric Program also assists in developing educational programs for bariatric services offered by the medical center,

The Clinical Coordinator Bariatric Program is responsible for ensuring that bariatric patients receive quality and comprehensive nutritional services from initial consult, through their in-patient stay and post-operatively,

The Clinical Coordinator Bariatric Program will assist in the coordinated efforts of all members of the interdisciplinary team including surgeons, dietitians, psychologists/psychiatrists and nursing staff to facilitate and track the care of the patient and their progress in the program,

The Bariatric Clinical Coordinator will also coordinate New Patient Lectures, Community Lectures and Monthly Support Group Meetings,

In addition the Clinical Coordinator oversees the full scope of service offered by the Bariatric Service line,

From intake and assessment to post surgical care and support,

Requirements

BA/BS/BSN degree preferred,

Completion of Clinical experience in NLN accredited school preferred,

Additional experience required based upon specific department needs,

Current NJ RN Licensure required,

National Certification preferred,

BLS required,

Prior experience within a Bariatric service line highly preferred,

Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records highly desired,
