Overview

The Scrum Master will guide and facilitate agile teams working primarily within a Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM environment, as well as other development platforms. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered effectively and efficiently while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams (including developers, business analysts, and product owners) to remove impediments, manage project priorities, and deliver high-quality solutions on time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Agile Framework Facilitation
   1. Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives).
   2. Educate and coach teams on agile practices, principles, and Scrum methodologies, ensuring consistent application across projects.
      
2. Sprint & Delivery Management
   1. Coordinate with consulting department to prioritize backlogs, define sprint goals, and deliver successful outcomes.
   2. Oversee sprint progression, tracking velocity and managing potential scope changes.
   3. Balance workload across development teams, ensuring optimal capacity management.
      
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
   1. Partner with stakeholders across various technologies and business units, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce CRM, and other platforms.
   2. Align with product owners and business analysts to ensure clear and actionable user stories for development teams.
4. Impediment Removal & Issue Escalation
   1. Identify and resolve blockers that hinder project progress.
   2. Escalate critical issues to leadership and relevant stakeholders, providing strategic solutions or mitigation plans.
      
5. Reporting & Metrics
   1. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), sprint velocity, and team capacity to stakeholders.
   2. Ensure transparent communication of progress, risks, and impediments, providing timely updates to leadership.
      
6. Team Coaching & Development
   1. Mentor teams to be self-organizing and cross-functional, promoting shared accountability for outcomes.
   2. Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement through regular feedback loops and retrospectives.
      
7. Process Optimization
   1. Continuously refine and adapt agile processes to improve efficiency, quality, and predictability of deliveries.
   2. Champion best practices and innovative techniques to support evolving organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Educational Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    
• Experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or equivalent role.
  • Proven expertise managing multiple agile teams across various technologies; experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated success in guiding development projects through full lifecycle in diverse, fast-paced environments.
    
• Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with Salesforce platform (Salesforce CRM and/or Marketing Cloud) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps) to manage sprints, backlogs, and metrics.
  • Basic understanding of software development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems is an advantage.

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent agile certification.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist) are a plus.
