Registered Nurse (RN), Women's Health Center at RWJBarnabas Health – Elizabeth, New Jersey

Job Overview:

The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. They will support care within the OBGYN space, supporting patient visits and by reviewing blood work. They will support the philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Trinitas Regional and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities. The Trinitas Regional Medical Center is a busy center, supporting services for 80-100 clients each day. The center offers GYN services, as well as Prenatal Care, OB ultrasounds, Maternal Fetal Medicine, as well as Nutrition and Diabetes Education.

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full-Time, 40 Hours Weekly, Day Shift

Qualifications:

• Active New Jersey RN License or approved RN license required
• ASN or BSN required; BSN preferred
• AHA BLS prior to start date required
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in out-patient OBGYN or specialty nursing is required
• Membership in a professional organization recommended
• Ambulatory Nurse Certification preferred
