Avera is currently seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary
- This position will serve as a first assist in OR.
- Demonstrates and serves as an expert in the role of practitioner, consultant, educator, and health professional.
- Improves clinical and cost outcomes for key patient populations through collaboration with physicians and staff and by participating in strategic initiatives.
- Assures competent and ethical care of patients and families.
- Shares with the supervising physician and clinic staff the responsibilities of providing and maintaining a quality of customer focused, nursing and medically appropriate approach to patient assessment, care plan development and implementation, follow up to outcomes and cost-effective delivery of services.
- Community involvement and collaboration is encouraged.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- Experience (clinical and OR) in Orthopedics
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Current SD license to match degree, ACLS, CPR are required.
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday; 72 hours every 2 weeks
- Varied shifts
- Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Friday, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
- Occasional weekend (Call responsibility among APP group)
- Occasional holiday (Rotating holiday schedule among APP group)
- Occasional call time (Rotating call)
