Facilities Maintenance Technician at Curry County; NM – Clovis, New Mexico

SummaryPlans and performs a wide range of building maintenance and grounds with the approval of the supervisor for the County Maintenance Department.
Minimum Requirements •Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.

•High School diploma/GED Required.

•One (1) year of education/training or experience in the construction trades such as electrical; plumbing; air conditioning; refrigeration and/or heating required.

•Ability to listen; understand and communicate verbally and in writing in English.

•Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.

•Ability to work independently of daily supervision and to exercise discretionary judgment and thinking.

•Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen; pre-employment screening and background check; Must have no felony convictions or pending felony charges.

•Valid NM Driver’s License required. No DWI conviction within the past three (3) years.

•Ability to perform all essential duties as listed below.

•Ability to perform the essential duties in the working conditions described below.

•Ability to work with the equipment; tools and materials listed below.

•Must comply with safety guidelines and policies of the County.
Benefits Curry County contributes 21.66% and employee contributes 6.79% each pay period into the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) Curry County pays 80% of medical premiums.
