About This Position
Position Highlights:
Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, Manager of Diagnostic Imaging and the Administrator of Radiology Imaging Services, the Supervisor Cross Sectional Imaging shall be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of CT/ Diagnostic Imaging department. Performs examinations on selected portions of the anatomy as requested by the clinician on patients in the following age groups; adolescence 12-19 years of age, adults 20-65 and geriatric adults 65 years and older.
The Supervisor Cross Sectional Imaging is directly responsible for the supervision of CT technologists that may include organizing schedules and directing activities, support a team approach and work collaboratively with all Radiology teams such as: nursing, scheduling coordinators, advanced practioners (APP), referring physicians and other team members. The Supervisor Cross Sectional Imaging is responsible to oversee the QC program and assist with all ACR Accreditations.
Must be able to work scheduled, weekends and "ON CALL" hours.

Responsibilities:
- Must demonstrate knowledge of CT principles and imaging techniques as they apply to the daily operation of the department.
- Demonstrate a complete working knowledge of CT equipment in the department
- Coordinate schedules and workflow in the CT department.
- Organize, plan and direct activities for all designated areas as needed.
- Administrate, revise, review and/or establish department policies and procedures.
- Must be self-motivated to follow-up on error correction, improvement of current methods, and contribute new ideas to improve work practices.
- Attempt to correct or diagnose difficulties with the equipment to reduce down time by either correcting the problem or calling for service
- Use interpersonal communication skills to convey a positive and supportive attitude
- Provide for personal and patient safety in accordance with written standards as to avoid injury to self or others ans use professional judgement when necessary.
- Practice standard precautions, reverse isolation procedures, and sterile procedure techniques according to written policy and procedures
- Use discretion and confidentiality in discussions related to patients, personal or staffing issues. (HIPAA
Credentials and Qualifications:
- Associates Degree – Radiology Technology or related field of study
- Minimum of five (5) years of previous CT Scan experience in a hospital setting with one (1) year previous leadership role required.
- Must have one of the following certifications: ARRT (R) Radiography – Advanced ARRT Certification in CT
- Florida License Required
- BLS – Basic Life Support
