DEFINITION OF POSITION
-
Enters clinical documentation in the Allscripts Intelligence Coding software. Is responsible for reviewing all aspects of the nurses clinical documentation of the services provided for the patient, including procedures, supply utilizations, medications and infusions administered while in the ED to generate appropriate compliance and charge capture.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional
-
Understanding of clinical practices in the Emergency Department
-
Extensive knowledge of computers, Medical Terminology and body systems required.

Working knowledge of basic office machines ex., printers, fax machines, copy machines.

Knowledge of ICD-10-CM PCS and CPT coding systems desirable.
