Ferncliff is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located just ten miles west of Little Rock, Arkansas. We were founded in 1937 as a place for youth and adults to gather and experience creation in community with one another

Ferncliff’s food service staff should be friendly and attentive to our guest’s needs. A spirit of hospitality should be modeled and encouraged amongst our staff. We see providing excellent food service to our guests as a direct way in which we fulfill our mission of making a positive difference in the world by opening eyes, minds and hearts to God’s transforming love.

Dishwasher/Kitchen Assistant Job Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a clean kitchen.

2. Properly wash and sort dirty dishes after each meal.

3. Wash utensils, pots, pans, and chopping boards.

4. Keep dish area free of clutter and organized.

5. Set up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.

6. Maintain clean / dry floors throughout the shift.

7. Assist the chef; wash and prep foods as needed and take direction.

8. Sweep, mop, and empty trash bins.

9. Organize food supplies and ingredients.

10. Restock inventory as needed.

11. Work cooperatively with co-workers and management to maintain a high level of service to customers.

12. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.

• Previous experience in a restaurant or other similar positions preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times a day.

• Ability to place cases, pans, utensils and plates on both low and high shelves.

• Ability to work in hot and damp environments.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

• Person that works well in a fast-paced environment.

• Reliable transportation. Ferncliff is located 20 minutes west of West Little Rock in the Ferndale community.

• Person of Christian conviction, committed to the ongoing mission and programs of Ferncliff and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as a whole.

• Applicant will be subject to a criminal background check.

· Job Type: Part-time

· $11-$13 range based on experience

Open availability, primarily nights and weekends.
