About This Position

Description:

Title: Community Manager- Initiatives

Reports to: Chief of Staff

Position Type: Full-time, salaried (exempt), benefits eligible

Career Level: Mid-Career

The Community Manager- Initiatives is responsible for overseeing and coordinating a variety of initiatives, projects, and programs within the Rock Nashville Community and other branded programs. The main goal is to ensure Community programming is implemented in a collaborative manner, aligning with the values and goals of the global business while ensuring it taps into the Nashville culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Program and Project Management:

  • Translate high-level initiative goals into clear workflows, timelines, and deliverables
  • Lead, coordinate, and manage multiple initiatives and projects from concept to completion, focusing on Rock Nashville Community and Workforce LIVE related initiatives
  • Define event and project objectives, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with other team members
  • Develop detailed plans that outline the timeline, resources, and budget for specific projects, maintaining the overall Rock Nashville Community budget
  • Monitor and track the progress of initiatives to ensure alignment with business values and goals

Collaboration

  • Act as a point of contact for certain internal and external partners or stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to keep stakeholders informed of program status
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Serve as a connector between the Nashville facility and the PA-based initiatives team

Performance Monitoring:

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and program milestones, compiling regular reports to share with teams
  • Conduct regular program reviews and adjust plans as necessary

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously assessing and improving program management processes
  • Develop and implement the best practices for program execution, reporting, and collaboration
  • Community & Partnership Enablement
  • Support community-facing initiatives, programs, and events
  • Act as an operational point of contact for select partners and collaborators
  • Coordinate logistics, schedules, and communications tied to community programs
  • Ensure initiatives align with organizational values and strategic priorities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Support and coordinate work involving early-career professionals and junior staff
  • Contribute to onboarding, documentation, and knowledge-sharing
  • Model clear communication, accountability, and follow-through
Requirements:

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in program management or project management
  • Proven track record of managing large, complex programs, projects, events or initiatives.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

Skills:

  • Exceptional collaborator who can take a framework and grow it while also flexing into strong operational skills from time to time
  • Able to translate ideas into repeatable systems and processes
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

PHYSICAL Requirements

  • Frequently moves throughout campus but may remain stationary for long periods of time
  • Responsible for set-up/tear-down of small scale events and contributing to larger ones as well Frequently uses manual dexterity to type, access files, and handle supplies
  • Occasionally moves and lifts boxes and supplies up to 30 lbs.
  • May be exposed to lasers and/or loud music
