Utility Pipe Fitter at TJS Excavation LLC – Collinsville, Oklahoma

Job Overview:

• Company: TJS Excavation LLC.

• Salary/Pay Rate: $22 to $26 per hour plus Year-End Bonus.

• Location: Site-specific jobsite (Collinsville, OK).

• Job/Employment Type: Full Time.

• Schedule: Monday Friday, Weekends, and Overtime.

• Project Scope: Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Government/Federal.

• Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required.

You will play a vital role in the execution of essential underground utility projects, transitioning between leadership and hands-on labor to ensure project success. This position offers the chance to lead work crews in a fast-paced environment while developing your technical skills within a growth-oriented company.

• Oversee daily job site activities and crew assignments to ensure all work meets project specifications.

• Execute a variety of tasks by shifting between Lead, Laborer, and Operator roles as needed to meet demands.

• Enforce strict OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.

• Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment by all team members.

• Train and mentor crew members on operational standards and pipe-fitting best practices.

• Coordinate material deliveries and inventory needs to prevent project delays and maintain workflow.

• Document and provide shift reports detailing work progress, site challenges, and implemented solutions.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in excavation, utilities, or a related civil construction field.

• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage small crews in a construction setting.

• Strong technical knowledge of excavation techniques, utility installation, and safety protocols.

• Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and engineering layouts.

• Experience operating and overseeing the maintenance of heavy machinery and utility equipment.

• Previous experience specifically in pipe fitting for water, sewer, or storm drain systems.

• Strong conflict-resolution skills and the ability to maintain a positive team culture.

• Familiarity with diverse site conditions ranging from residential to federal government projects.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving regarding weather delays or equipment failures.
