About This Role:
Fireye is looking for a Strategic Pricing Product Manager to join its marketing team!
The role is responsible for the strategic direction, profitability, and life-cycle management of a portfolio of burner control and flame monitoring products for commercial and industrial applications. The opportunity also involves researching market and competitor trends, analyzing company costs, developing and implementing pricing models to maximize profitability and market share, collaborating with sales and marketing teams to align pricing strategies, monitoring pricing performance, and providing data-driven recommendations to senior management for strategic pricing adjustments.
Responsibilities Strategy and Roadmap Development:
Develop and execute a comprehensive aftermarket strategy and portfolio roadmap that aligns with long-term business goals.
Manage the product lifecycle for the entire portfolio which includes product rationalization and discontinuation.
Forecast demand, manage inventory levels and develop strategies to obsolete stock.
Market & Competitor Analysis:
Research global and local trends, competitor pricing strategies, and customer behaviors to identify pricing opportunities and risks.
Cost & Profitability Analysis:
Analyze product and service costs, supply chain logistics, and margin analysis to inform pricing decisions.
Pricing Model Development:
Develop, build, and maintain pricing models, structures, and forecasts using statistical analysis to support decision-making.
Strategic Recommendations:
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on optimal pricing strategies, price adjustments, and promotional programs to drive revenue and market share.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with sales, purchasing, finance, and other departments to align pricing strategies with business goals and support sales efforts.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor and report on pricing performance metrics, evaluating the impact of pricing changes and developing strategies to achieve financial goals.
Key Skills
Proficient in data analysis, statistical modeling, and financial forecasting.
A strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
Ability to clearly communicate complex analytical findings and strategic recommendations to various stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Ability to use data to identify pricing challenges and develop innovative solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business, or a related field
Proven experience in product management or product marketing role within a technical or industrial sector
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with data analytical tools such as Power BI
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams
Three or more years managing an aftermarket portfolio preferred
Three or more years in industrial sector preferred
