Job Summary:

The Systems Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting customer-facing systems installed by Modern Tek Solutions. This role focuses on post-installation support, system stabilization, and ongoing technical assistance for systems such as CCTV, AV, access control, and networking.

The Systems Specialist works closely with the Lead Systems Specialist and Service teams to ensure systems operate reliably and meet customer expectations. This position may include remote system access or field-based depending on system needs and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customer systems including CCTV, AV, access control, and networking.
2. Assist with post-installation system testing, validation, and optimization.
3. Diagnose and resolve system performance, connectivity, and configuration issues.
4. Support system upgrades, expansions, and minor modifications.
5. Assist Service and Project teams with technical input as needed.
6. Perform limited on-site visits for system support when required.
7. Document system issues, resolutions, and configurations accurately.
8. Follow established technical standards and best practices.
9. Escalate complex issues to the Lead Systems Specialist as appropriate.
10. Maintain professional communication with internal teams and customers.

Qualifications:

1. 2–4 years of experience supporting low-voltage or integrated systems.
2. Working knowledge of CCTV, AV systems, access control, and basic networking concepts.
3. Certifications preferred, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, Tech+, and Project+
4. Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
5. Familiarity with IP-based systems and networked devices.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to manage multiple support tasks effectively.
8. Clear communication skills and professional demeanor.
9. Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.

Physical Requirements:

1. Combination of office-based, remote, and field-based work.
2. Ability to travel to customer sites as required.
3. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
4. Ability to work in active jobsite or operational environments.
5. Ability to work flexible hours during system issues or support needs.
