About This Position
The Printer I position is responsible for executing basic printing tasks, including running one-color, non-registered jobs, solids, and applying Kompac coating. This role requires foundational knowledge of printing operations, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. The Printer I collaborates closely with the racking and inking departments to meet production goals efficiently.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Set up and operate printing presses for one-color, non-registered jobs.
- Follow job instructions to ensure customer requirements and quality standards are met.
- Apply Kompac coating as specified in job instructions.
- Maintain both quality and production standards throughout the printing process.
- Perform routine press maintenance and cleaning after job completion.
- Learn and adhere to quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, defects, or equipment issues to the Supervisor or Team Leader.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety protocols.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities but is expected to follow and uphold company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Up to three months of related printing experience preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions.
- Clear verbal communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with the team.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.
- Ability to identify and resolve basic production and mechanical issues.

This is a full time - Monday through Friday position with working hours 7 to 3:30pm.
To be successful in this role you must have reliable transportation - good attendance and attention to detail.
