Job Summary

The Automation AGV Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance on industrial equipment, including but not limited to AGVs, LGVs, electric forklifts, scissor lifts, tuggers, floor scrubbers, and golf carts.

Key Job Responsibilities

· Point of contact for customers

· Facilitate pm schedule

· Facilitate work/Repair request

· Willing to be On Call

· Communicate PTO coverage plans with customer

· Coordinate and drive warranty requests

· Facilitate outside vendor work (PO process and billing)

· Facilitate all outside of scope work

· Parts Ordering and Inventory Management (5S Inventory Skills)

· Troubleshoot equipment failures, including root cause analysis. Including research of potential warranty, rework and continuously repetitive repairs using historical equipment data available through Field Connect service platform.

· Complete all repairs of equipment in a timely manner and by the manufacturer’s repair guidelines.

· Judgment and Decision Making - Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate course of action.

· Inspecting Equipment - Perform audits on equipment audits per the PM Planning tools schedule in Field Connect service platform.

· Communications - Provide information to supervisor, co-workers, and subordinates by phone, in writing, e-mail, or in person.

· Timely and accurate completion of all work orders and service records per the Velocity time standard.

· Maintain accurate and timely entry of work hours in Paylocity time keeping platform.

· Safety

o All work must be completed in a safe manner.

o Safety requirements by customer and Velocity must be adhered to.

o Work areas will be maintained to ensure safety.

o Work areas will be kept clean and organized daily.

· Timely Completion of Safety training modules.

· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

Job Requirements

· High School or GED Diploma required.

· Must have a minimum of 5 years of Electric forklift experience

· Strong Electrical troubleshooting skills, 480v,240v,24v, 48v.

· Able to read electrical schematics & wiring diagrams

· Ability to organize his/her own work and work independently, with limited supervision.

· Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across remote offices.

· Strong Mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Manufacturer Training available on specific equipment for technician hired. Looking for someone with a strong skillset who is willing to learn, self-motivated, goal oriented, punctual and professional, strong communication skills, solution-based mindset who is looking to grow.
  • Must have hand tools / toolbox and willing to purchase what is needed to be successful in the role. Any specialty tools will be provided by the company
  • Strong technology skills, strong office skills, self-motivated, organization skills, great communication skills, relationship building skills, team building skills, and works well under pressure in all situations.
