Avalon Risk Management (“Avalon”) is a specialty insurance broker with offices throughout the U.S. and Canada. We focus on the unique and exciting world of risk management and insurance products for the international trade and logistics industry. Avalon is a privately held company owned by our founding management team and we have celebrated over 25 years of success. We are looking for a full-time Account Manager. This position is based out of our international headquarters located at 200 N. Martingale Rd., Schaumburg, IL 60173.

We are looking for a full time highly motivated new team member who is excited about learning a new industry and growing their career. You must have either some professional customer support experience and/or formal business education, and we are looking for candidates capable of attaining an IL Property & Casualty license. Preference will be given to those with insurance experience.

This position entails:

• Attaining and maintaining an IL Property and Casualty license.
• Supporting Account Managers in servicing a book of business and working with clients to answer policy questions, update account changes, assist with premium collections, fielding phone calls, and more.
• Working within our Agency Management System, EPIC and INDIO to create marketing submissions, proposals, Binders, and Certificate of Insurance to name a few.

Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position will require a strong work ethic, close attention to detail, and flexibility. To succeed in this position, you must possess strong organizational skills, excellent computer skills in addition to the ability to work independently and with a team.

The base compensation range is $45,000 - $52,000 per year, dependent on experience. Our incentive structure allows the team to earn a base salary and bonus potential. Avalon sets our team’s goals to align their efforts with corporate goals.
