- Establish multiple-level contacts within assigned accounts, including C-level executives.
- Qualify companies and contacts to understand key customer needs and challenges.
- Grow sales by initiating client contacts, generating new leads, and following up on assigned leads.
- Identify and pursue new clients in the life sciences industry.
- Grow sales into new revenue through professional key account management.
- Develop client-specific presentations and contribute to the RFP response process.
- Collaborate with marketing/BD to create lead-generation strategies.
- Participate in trade shows and conferences for networking and lead generation.
- Document all communications and opportunity details in CRM software.
- Utilize market knowledge to grow business in line with commercial goals.
- Meet and exceed sales quotas on a regular basis.
- Follow best practices for managing Marketing Qualified Leads.
- 5+ years experience as a Business Development Manager in the pharmaceutical or B2B SaaS industry.
- Masters degree in a science discipline or advanced business degree preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail for documenting sales interactions.
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-energy team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated track record of high sales performance in competitive markets.
