Barista at Sun City Lincoln Hills Community Association – Lincoln, California

Sun City Lincoln Hills Community Association is seeking a friendly, skilled Barista to join our Kilaga Springs Café team. This position is responsible for preparing high quality hot and cold beverages, beer and wine, and a variety of food items including salads, sandwiches, and soups. The Barista provides excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking accurate orders, offering recommendations, handling payments, and ensuring a warm and welcoming café experience.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented and dependable, with strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions. Duties include maintaining a clean and organized café, operating coffee and espresso equipment, stocking supplies, supporting inventory needs, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards, and assisting with training new team members. This role involves regular cleaning, sanitation, and maintaining high standards of food and beverage preparation.

Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work weekends and holidays as needed, and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and moving throughout the day. The Barista must remain positive and professional, even during busy or stressful periods, and be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments with variable temperatures. Minimum Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Food handler’s card preferred, or must acquire withing 30 days of employment
-Responsible Serving of Alcohol certification (RBS) preferred, or must acquire within 60 days of employment
-Minimum of 6 months in a food service establishment
-Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
-CPR/AED/First Aid certificate desirable
