Salary Level: Starting salary for this role will be from $76,800 to $90,000 annually for US base - commensurate with professional experience and local benchmark beyond US

The Project
To advance our mission, Mercy Corps has embarked on a global rebrand and renaming initiative to build a strong, externally facing brand that elevates our identity and impact worldwide. While the essence of our organizationremainsrooted in the 10-yearPathway to Possibilitystrategy, this rebrandprovidesan opportunity to articulate what makes us unique in a way that is both differentiating and motivating to diverse audiences.
The rebrand will be introduced internally and externally in 2026, followed by a full transition to the new brand identity. For country and regional teams, this means adapting and implementing localized rollout plans that align with global standards while meeting local needs.This includes updating materials, communications, and processes, as well as preparing teams to adopt new brand guidelines.Theproject will require close coordination across regions, strong stakeholder engagement, and thoughtful change management to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
The Position
The Senior Project Manager supportingGlobal Programsimplementation will play a critical role in supporting MercyCorpsglobal rebrand rollout across diversecountryand regional contexts. Reporting to theSenior Director, Global Rebrand, and a participant in theRebrand Project Management Office (PMO), this position will partner closely withthe Senior Director of Operations Management,regional leadership,andcountry teamsto ensure that localized implementation plans align withteam resources, the timeline, andglobal brand standards whileincorporatingand consideringdiverselocalcontext andneeds, including varying security environments, regulatory frameworks and cultural dynamics. The role will focus on coordination, stakeholder engagement, and change management to enable a smooth and successful transition to the new brand identity.
This individual will provide expert project management support to guide planning, execution, and monitoring of country and regional rollout activities. They will helpidentifytraining and capacity-building needs related toimplementing thebrand guidelines and coordinate delivery in partnership with the Rebrand PMO.
Success in this role will depend on close collaboration with a wide array of stakeholders, including regional and country leadership, in-country implementers, and external partners, to co-create solutions that are both globally consistent and locally relevant. The ability toanticipateand address context-specific challenges, while fostering inclusive engagement and shared ownership, will be critical to achieving a smooth and effective transition to the new brand identity.This role will need to successfully build credible partnerships across the departments/business functions to achieve the intended purpose and value propositions of operational initiatives. This includesRegionalteams, ensuring significant benefit is achieved at the countryleveland that change is supported with adequate capacity and capability.
This is a fixed-term positionin line with the rebrand project timelineand may require international travel.
Essential Responsibilities
STRATEGY & PLANNING
  • Partner with regional and country teams to supportthedevelopment and execution of localized rebrand rollout plans that align with global standards.
  • Collaborate with the Rebrand PMO and Senior Director of OperationsManagementto ensure strategic alignment across regions and countries.
  • Identifytraining and capacity-building needs for country teams on brand guidelines; coordinate delivery of training resources and sessions.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • Serve as the primary liaison between country/regional teams and the Rebrand PMO, ensuring clear communication andtimelyupdates.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple regions; monitor progress and escalate risks as needed.
  • Maintainaccuratedocumentation of plans, milestones, and decisions using Mercy Corps project management tools (e.g., Wrike).
  • Coordinate knowledge-sharing and best practices across regions to promote consistency and efficiency.
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT& CHANGE MANAGEMENT
  • Build strong relationships with regional and country leadership to foster buy-in and smooth adoption of the new brand.
  • Facilitate regular coordination calls and working groups to ensure alignment and resolve challenges.
  • Establish clear reporting mechanisms to provide regular updates on progress to the Rebrand PMO, the Senior Director, Operations Manager, and Regional VPs and relevant Deputy Regional Directors.
  • Support change management efforts by communicating key messages and addressing concerns throughout the rollout process.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contribute to after-action reviews and lessons learned to inform future global initiatives.
  • Actively integrate safeguarding principles and Mercy Corps values into all aspects of work.

Accountability to Participants and Stakeholders
Mercy Corps team members are expected to support all efforts toward accountability, specifically to our program participants, community partners, other stakeholders, and to international standards guiding international relief and development work. We are committed to actively engaging communities as equal partners in the design,monitoringand evaluation of our field projects.
Minimum Qualification & Transferable Skills
  • BA/S or equivalent in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management; certification in project management preferred.
  • Proventrack recordmanaging large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects in global or multi-disciplinary settings.
  • Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement across diverse cultural contexts.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Familiarity with project management platforms (Wrike or similar) and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Experience working in international relief and development or global nonprofit environments preferred.
  • Ability to develop strategic project plans that align with organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior and executive-level leadership.

Living Conditions / Environmental Conditions
This position can be based in Portland, OR, Washington, D.C., or remotely within the United States. The role may require occasional international travel to support country and regional teams during the rebrand rollout; specific travel expectations will bedeterminedas the project evolves. Travel may include visits to locations with limited medical facilities and amenities.
Mercy Corps team membersrepresentthe agency both during and outside work hours when deployed in a field posting or on a visit/temporary duty assignment.
