About This Position
Job Summary:
The CFO – Shared Services & Enterprise Finance is responsible for leading the Shared Services organization, ensuring operational excellence, financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and scalable service delivery while also serving as a strategic financial partner to supported business units.
This role balances operational discipline with advisory leadership, translating financial data into actionable business intelligence that supports enterprise performance, decision-making, and long-term value creation. The CFO ensures Shared Services functions as both a stable operational backbone and a value-enabling partner to the enterprises it supports.

Requirements:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Shared Services Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Lead Accounting, Finance, and HR Shared Services functions
- Establish clear service models, workflows, and expectations
- Ensure workload balancing, capacity planning, and continuity safeguards
- Drive process standardization and automation initiatives
- Build operational resilience through documentation and redundancy
Financial Reporting, Controls & Compliance
- Oversee financial reporting across supported entities
- Maintain accounting policy consistency and governance
- Govern month-end close processes and accuracy standards
- Lead audit, tax, and regulatory compliance activities
- Maintain internal control frameworks and risk mitigation practices
Operational Efficiency & Systems Optimization
- Identify process inefficiencies and operational bottlenecks
- Drive automation, systems improvements, and workflow optimization
- Improve the scalability and repeatability of shared services functions
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics
Strategic Business Partnership
- Advise business unit leadership on financial and operational decisions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning processes
- Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis
- Translate financial reporting into actionable business insight
- Identify opportunities for profitability and performance improvement
Performance & Financial Intelligence
- Develop and maintain KPIs and performance dashboards
- Lead variance analysis and performance review discussions
- Deliver forward-looking financial insights
- Support pricing, cost optimization, and investment analysis
Service Delivery & Stakeholder Alignment
- Maintain strong partnerships with supported enterprises
- Establish SLAs and service expectations
- Resolve escalated service or financial issues
- Align Shared Services priorities with enterprise needs while maintaining operational discipline

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in accounting and financial management and with at least 5 years of management experience required
- CPA designation preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of accounting, data systems applications of accounting systems and budgeting procedures; and applicable federal, state, and local agency rules and regulations governing financial operations
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Comfort working with data in spreadsheets, databases, or BI tools
- Ability to translate complex operational and financial concepts into clear, actionable insights
- Organized and capable of managing multiple requests and priorities
- Strong understanding of modern platforms, operational frameworks, and service delivery models
- Highly analytical, solutions-oriented, and comfortable operating in ambiguity
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
