Job Description:
Westchester Medical Center, the flagship hospital of the WMCHealth Network, has an excellent opportunity for a Critical Care Nephrologist in our Valhalla, NY location. This physician will be positioned to shepherd the fellows’ progress through the recently accredited combined Nephrology/Critical Care program while providing needed support to the general nephrology service. This thriving multiple physician Nephrology group in the lower Hudson Valley vicinity comprises 8 Nephrologists and two experienced Physician Assistants. All physicians are appointed as full time faculty at the New York Medical College – Touro.
Job Responsibilities:
- Outpatient general nephrology as per applicant’s interest
- Inpatient consultations at Westchester Medical Center
- Unique opportunities to help develop and expand the home dialysis program
- On-call will be 1:7 for consultations only (with needed adjustments for critical care coverage responsibilities)
- Critical Care services and fellows’ supervision will be included in the applicant’s schedule
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Applicants must have an MD (or equivalent) degree and must be board certified/board eligible in both Nephrology and Critical Care by the date of hire
- Experience in Critical Care training preferred
- Qualified to obtain a New York State license
- H1b Visa Sponsorship will be considered
