JOB SUMMARY:

Responsibility for various compliance duties within the Trust area. Primarily responsible for coordination of the department’s compliance responsibilities with bank regulatory bodies as well as internal and external audit compliance coordination.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* High school diploma or GED (Associates degree preferred)

* Four+ years’ banking experience, two of which preferred to be in Trust or Compliance

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

* Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel)

* Experience in Trust Accounting Systems preferred

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Data analysis, problem solving, organizational skills, time management, accuracy, attention to detail and customer service

* Ability to handle extremely confidential information between regulators and Trust Department and Bank Management

* Understanding of corporate financial statements

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Complies with all Bank and Trust department policies and procedures.

2. Coordinates Exam and Audit visits. Work with IT, building management, Financial Intelligence Security Unit (FISU), and Corporate Secretary to coordinate work space.

3. Collects and assists with exam and audit information requests. Communicates with exam and audit staff. Properly handles extremely confidential information.

4. Assists Compliance Officer with all Trust-related exam and audit details and duties.

5. Monitors monthly Reg. 9 account review schedule. Prepares list of accounts reviewed and exception reports for monthly Trust Administrative and Investment Committee (TAIC) Meeting.

6. Enters TAIC Committee completion dates on Trust Accounting system once reviews are completed.

7. Tracks TAIC Exceptions and clears them on Trust Accounting system.

8. Assists with new account opening process by completing the New Account Setup form and reviewing documentation for accuracy.

9. Gathers quarterly information for unique asset tracking including, concentrations, bond ratings, mineral interests, Certificates of Deposit, real estate, partnerships, etc.

10. Tracks and updates information and reporting on hard to value assets held in ERISA and IRA accounts.

11. Assists Compliance Officer with annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) project oversight including confirming accounts in RMD status, preparing reporting documentation, preparing annual notification letters, and tracking year-to-date distributions taken.

12. Ensures new and closed accounts are tracked and reported to TAIC and Trust Committee to meet regulatory requirements.

13. Assists Compliance Officer with monitoring and reporting new industry regulatory changes and proposed new laws and regulations.

14. Maintains Trust Department annual policy revisions.

15. Maintains and assists department with maintenance and support for Black Diamond client portal system as well as investment objective maintenance working with Senior portfolio Managers.

16. Acts as backup to Trust Operations Manager and Asst Trust Operations Manager when absent to insure continued segregation of duties. Provides support and data for operational related audits and examinations.

17. Assists Compliance Officer with critical third-party vendor relationships, including tracking of contracts, maintenance of required information for Enterprise Risk Management and attend meetings to discuss mediation plans when needed.

18. Logs and tracks returned mail for the department.

19. Provides data and operations support for audits and examinations.

20. Scans and indexes trust documents using the Nautilus system.

21. Maintains written procedures that pertain to job duties.

22. Performs other duties as assigned.
