About This Position
Megaport is looking for a Compliance Analyst to help ensure our global network operates responsibly and in compliance with regulatory, cyber security and privacy requirements. Based in India at the Extreme office, this role supports Megaport’s compliance efforts globally, with a primary focus on Indian telecommunications, security, privacy and cloud regulations. You’ll play a key role in managing compliance obligations in India and help manage relationships with external providers.
To be eligible for this position, you must be able to work from our Gurugram office immediately.
- Support Megaport’s regulatory, cyber security and privacy compliance programs, with a primary focus on Indian telecommunications and cloud regulations, while assisting the wider compliance team globally when required.
- Research and track telecommunications, cyber security and cloud regulatory requirements, maintaining records of regulatory obligations, filings, and reporting deadlines.
- Prepare and coordinate licence applications, regulatory filings, and compliance reporting with telecommunications authorities and other regulators.
- Assist with security compliance certification activities such as ISO27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2.
- Review and respond to notifications from law enforcement, third-party authorities and regulatory bodies, ensuring timely investigation and remediation.
- Prepare reports and documentation to support cyber security and privacy incident investigations, regulatory compliance activities, and internal compliance processes.
- Assist with customer security assurance activities such as responding to customer security and privacy questionnaires.
- Serve as the designated point of contact for regulatory and security matters, coordinating and streamlining communication across internal teams and external stakeholders, and representing the organization in regulatory engagements, including licensing discussions, audits, and inspections.
- Experience in regulatory compliance, legal work, or cyber security compliance, ideally within the telecommunications, technology, or cloud sectors.
- Familiarity with telecommunications regulations and data protection frameworks (e.g., LGPD, GDPR, DMCA, or similar).
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks such as ISO27001 and SOC 2 or similar.
- Familiarity with responding to formal requests from law enforcement or authorities regarding security incidents, or network misuse
- Ability to interpret legal or regulatory documentation and coordinate responses with internal teams and legal counsel.
- Strong research, analytical, and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (B2 or higher) for handling international notifications and communications.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment, collaborating across teams and regions.
- Experience with compliance, monitoring, or workflow tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, OneTrust, ticketing systems, or network monitoring tools).

Full-time office-based role, at our Gurugram office
The working day is 8 hours, and the working week is 40 hours.
Working visits to for meeting partners, vendors, team, checking the quality of the network
- Your will be working on an a rotating on call roster
- After hours scheduled network maintenance work is required
90-day notice period for resignation after the trial period
