Work location: Texas Health Frisco 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX 75033

Work hours: Full Time, Days. Mon-Thurs 0630-1700 with call and holiday rotation requirements.

Here's What You Need
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology - Required
  • Associate's Degree - Preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of MRI experience - Required
  • 1 year of hospital experience - Preferred
  • ARRT (MRI) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MRI) certification - Required upon hire
  • GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist license (TDH or TMB) - Required upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, obtained prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly - Required


Skills

What You Will Do
  • Oversee daily operations of all assigned areas; monitor, manage, and approve staffing levels; provide leadership to employees of assigned areas; participate in employee evaluations and coaching/counseling sessions of assigned areas.
  • IMAGING, QUALITY AND PROCESSING - Explains procedures; positions patients; performs complex radiographic procedures; adjusts technique parameters; processes and manipulates images; analyzes image quality; performs all required quality assurance testing.
  • PATIENT CARE - Uses multidisciplinary, team-oriented actions; prepares room for examination; checks physician orders; greets and identifies patient; obtains patient history; safely handles patients with IVs, oxygen, or other devices; demonstrates knowledge of emergency drugs and equipment; uses proper body mechanics; safely administers contrast media; adapts procedures to age-specific needs.
  • EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE - Operates, cares for, and maintains all equipment; adjusts technical factors; applies knowledge of physics and accessories; troubleshoots and documents malfunctions; maintains sanitary standards; demonstrates quality control and regulatory standards.
  • PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY - Maintains and enhances technical skills; uses corporate philosophy to partner with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians; recognizes and communicates ethical and legal concerns; remains flexible with schedules and workload; identifies workflow issues; participates in departmental quality improvement and continuing education.

Texas Health Frisco is a 93-bed, acute care hospital that has served the Frisco community and surrounding western Collin County and Denton County areas since 2019.
