ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Clinical Practice & Education Support Specialist plays a critical role in advancing clinical excellence and supporting our workforce development strategy. This position partners closely with the Clinical Educator and Clinical Services Specialist to support onboarding, competency development, ongoing training, and adherence to clinical standards across all Community Health practice sites. This position serves as a resource to clinical teams and travels routinely to sites to support staff, reinforce workflows, and bring forward training and quality opportunities.

Following are the essential functions of the job:
Clinical Services Support
- Conduct routine site visits to reinforce standardized workflows.
- Ensure there is clinical support for ongoing quality initiatives.
- Perform annual clinical practice audits to assess compliance with clinical practice standards.
- Provide coaching on clinical workflows, safety practices, and documentation standards.
Learning and Development Support
- Provide hands-on coaching related to clinical rooming, documentation, infection prevention, and safety practices.
- Serve as a preceptor during periods of multiple clinical new hire onboarding
- Support MA Intern participants’ hands-on experience and coordinates shadowing and skills training.
- Conduct skills training sessions using tools developed by the Educator.
- Identify clinical workflow training gaps, collaborate with Clinical Educator, and support implementation of updates
Onboarding and Compliance Support
- Assist with delivery of clinical orientation programs.
- Coordinate employee immunization and BLS compliance.
- Coordinate annual N95 fit testing and assist in regulatory readiness.
Professional Development
- Attend required meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain current CPR certification and participate in relevant professional development activities.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma.
- CMA/CCMA/RMA preferred.
- 3-5 years of Medical Assistant experience in a primary care setting required.
- Demonstrates strong clinical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to generate clear, accurate, and defensible documentation
