About This Position

Position Summary

The Field Service Technician supports operations by delivering, servicing, refurbishing, and inspecting equipment at oilfield locations. This role is customer-facing and safety-critical, requiring reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work independently in demanding environments. The technician represents Odessa Separator in the field and plays a key role in equipment quality, customer satisfaction, and operational safety.

Role and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver equipment and tools to oilfield locations safely and on schedule
  • Perform quality checks on equipment prior to delivery and after service
  • Clean, refurbish, and prepare returned equipment for resale or inventory
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service at all job sites
  • Obtain required tickets and signatures from on-site personnel
  • Complete accurate field service reports and documentation
  • Safely load, unload, secure, and transport equipment and materials
  • Operate company vehicles and trailers in compliance with DOT and traffic regulations
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment and report mechanical or safety concerns
  • Promote and follow all company safety policies and procedures
Working Conditions
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading of equipment
  • Repetitive physical tasks using hands and tools
  • Exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and contaminants
  • Work performed outdoors and in close proximity to others
  • Job requires accuracy, sound judgment, and accountability, as mistakes may have serious consequences

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Must comply with company drug and alcohol policy
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to safely operate motor vehicles
  • Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
