Facilities Assistant at Florida Eye Associates Inc – Melbourne, Florida

A well-established medical practice with six locations across Florida, including an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), is seeking a working, hands-on Facilities Assistant. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, be highly organized, and have a proven ability to assist in facility operations and maintenance in a healthcare setting. Practical knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical or general maintenance skills preferred.

• Reports to the Facilities Manager.
• Must have own vehicle and valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Assist with day-to-day operations and maintenance across all six medical locations, including an ASC.
• Perform hands-on facility repairs including HVAC, plumbing, minor electrical, and general maintenance.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all buildings and systems.
• Ensure facilities remain compliant with AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) standards and are always inspection-ready.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities and address safety or maintenance concerns proactively.
• Maintain records including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and vendor invoices.
• Respond promptly to facility-related issues and emergency situations, including after-hours when necessary.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support operational needs.
