Mortgage Disclosure Desk Specialist at LIBERTY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION – Evansville, Indiana

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is seeking a Mortgage Disclosure Desk Specialist to join the Mortgage team. The successful candidate should have experience in the mortgage field and be familiar with the mortgage loan process. Excellent communication skills to work with both staff and members are required. The candidate will be scheduled for a 40 hour work week to include Saturdays on a rotating basis. Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods. Duties and responsibilities:

• Prepare, mail and track mortgage loan disclosures
  • Determine necessary fees for the loan
  • Prepare correspondence for the borrower to inform them of required loan documentation
  • Re-disclose when necessary due to “changed circumstances”
• Assign loan files to Mortgage Processing Assistants as needed.
• Order supporting loan documentation from vendors
  • Appraisal
  • Flood certification
  • Title search
• Follow-up on all vendor orders for processors and originators
• Send out mailings as needed for the mortgage department
• Log into the ACD phone system to field and answer incoming mortgage calls
• Develop a working knowledge of the credit unions data processing system, loan origination system, Word, and Excel software
• Develop an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors or management
