Shipping Associate TN at JOST International Corp – Greeneville, Tennessee

INTRODUCTION: This position reports to Department Lead, Warehouse Supervisor or Logistics Manager. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.

SHIPPING ASSOCIATE TN – Performs functions pertaining to the operations of the shipping/receiving area and placement of all inventory.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to:

a) Operate forklift.

b) Inspection of product and paperwork for shipment.

c) Packaging and/or skidding of finished product for shipment.

d) Loading and unloading trucks or carriers.

e) Placement of incoming parts and inventory.

f) Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned, and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.

REQUIREMENTS:

a) Ability to gain knowledge of shipping/receiving paperwork and procedures.

b) One-year on the job experience a plus.

c) Ability to read and write legible a must.

d) Forklift experience preferred. Company certification required.

e) Basic math skills required.

f) Ability to gain knowledge of company products. Comply with quality, environmental, safety and Jost company policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

a) Work is generally performed in a production/warehouse environment 100% of time

b) While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
