Sr. Network Technician (Temp Contract)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Technician with hands-on experience in network racking, cabling, and infrastructure deployments to support, maintain, and expand enterprise network environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to lead installation efforts, and experience working in data centers, server rooms, or enterprise IT environments.
This is a 2-6 month contract starting February 2nd
Hours: Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm
Must have reliable transportation
#LATResponsibilities:

• Perform network racking, stacking, mounting, and labeling of switches, routers, firewalls, and related network equipment
• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a, single-mode and multi-mode fiber)
• Design and maintain clean, organized, and standards-compliant rack layouts and cable management
• Assist with network hardware deployments, upgrades, and decommissioning efforts
• Troubleshoot Layer 13 network issues, including connectivity, performance, and hardware failures
• Configure and support network devices under guidance of network engineers (VLANs, trunking, port configurations, IP addressing)
• Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams during infrastructure installs and migrations
• Maintain network documentation, rack diagrams, port maps, and asset inventories
• Provide on-site support for data centers and remote facilities as needed
• Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance during deployments
• Follow change management, security, and safety procedures

$20 - $25 an hour
