Job Summary: The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for strengthening the security posture of the platform by identifying vulnerabilities, securing data, and guiding engineering teams on best practices. This role ensures the company is prepared for growth, compliance, and future certifications.

What does a day in the life of a Cybersecurity Engineer look like?

• Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and security risks

• Conduct audits, assessments, and policy updates

• Work with engineering to enforce secure coding standards

• Manage IAM, encryption, and data protection controls

• Evaluate third-party tools and SDKs for compliance and security impact

• Support long-term planning for certifications such as SOC 2

• Adhere to company policies and procedures

• Meet or exceed performance targets for related KPIs

• Continuously improve knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules

• Collaborate with other departments as needed

• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times

• Perform other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications of a Cybersecurity Engineer?

• Minimum of 4 years of security engineering experience

• Strong background in application, network, and cloud security

• Experience with vulnerability scanning and threat modeling

• Knowledge of IAM, encryption, and SOC or ISO frameworks

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Proficient in using computers and various software applications

• Scripting for automation preferred

• Understanding of mobile, API, and SIEM tools a plus
