Insurance Verification at Jewett Orthopedic Institute Surgery Center – Orlando, Florida

Duties:

- Verify health insurance benefits via Epic, phone and insurance portals.

Knowledge of deductibles, co-insurance and out of pocket expenses.

Prepare patient estimates and contact patients to inform of balance due.

- Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding insurance benefits
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Experience:

- Previous experience in medical insurance verification.
- Proficient in using medical software and electronic health record systems. Epic experience is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
