Responsibilities

Mythics is seeking a PeopleSoft Administrator to support the Army IPPS-A program as part of a large-scale migration and replatform from an on-premises Oracle SuperCluster/Exadata footprint to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in a DoD IL5 environment. The PeopleSoft Administrator will provide platform/application administration for PeopleSoft HCM/CRM/ELM/FSCM within the IPPS-A Mission Owner (MO) cloud tenancy, supporting multiple environments (e.g., DEV, FOT, PLT, PSG, PROD). Work location is REMOTE, but will be required to support on-site as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • PeopleSoft platform administration (IL5 cloud-hosted)
  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain PeopleSoft application domains and PIA/web tiers across IPPS-A environments (DEV/FOT/PLT/PSG/PROD)Obtain expert-level skill level with Oracle PeopleSoft Cloud Manager
  • Perform ongoing PeopleSoft administration activities: domain configuration, performance tuning, JVM/web tier tuning, process scheduler administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Support PeopleTools and PeopleSoft application stack operations in a regulated (DoD IL5) environment, ensuring availability and reliability.
  • Support and configure integrations between PeopleSoft and other IPPS-A supporting applications: Oracle Analytics Cloud, DB Sign, Identity solutions, etc.
  • Work with IPPS-A build teams to ensure PeopleSoft platform supports IPPS-A mission requirementsOperations, maintenance, and patching
  • Plan and execute routine maintenance windows and patch activities in coordination with the broader run-and-maintain (PaaS+) service model (e.g., patching, backups coordination, recovery actions).
  • Coordinate PeopleSoft-related upgrade activities and technical refreshes.Maintain runbooks/SOPs for repeatable operational tasks and environment lifecycle activities (refreshes, cloning, troubleshooting).
  • Incident response and operational support
  • Monitor PeopleSoft platform health and respond to incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions.Partner with OCI/platform teams for infrastructure-layer issues and with mission/application teams for application-layer configuration and deployments, aligned to the shared responsibility model.
  • Support environment refreshes and break-fix activities using production copies as required.Security, compliance, and audit support (DoD program)
  • Implement and maintain PeopleSoft platform security best practices (hardening, secure configuration, least privilege) in alignment with DoD IL5 requirements and the program’s ATO processes.
  • Support compliance evidence collection related to PeopleSoft administration activities (e.g., patch records, configuration baselines, change records) as needed for ATO packages and ongoing audits.
  • Coordinate with enterprise integration/security stakeholders for authentication integrations (e.g., Army E-ICAM) as applicable to PeopleSoft access patterns.
  • Automation and operational excellence
  • Automate repeatable administrative tasks (where feasible) using scripting and standard tooling, with strong change control and documentation.
  • Participate in change control processes: risk assessment, implementation planning, backout planning, and approval workflows.


Qualifications

  • Project requires an active Tier-5 SECRET Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years work experience with 5+ years of PeopleSoft administration experience (PeopleTools, app server/PIA, Process Scheduler), preferably with IPPS-A applicationsLinux/Windows administration skills and hands-on troubleshooting in multi-environment enterprise deployments.
  • Experience supporting highly regulated environments (DoD, federal, or similar), including disciplined change control and evidence-driven operations.
  • Familiarity with Oracle database connectivity, migration, and refresh concepts as used by PeopleSoft.Strong documentation skills (runbooks, SOPs, build docs) and ability to operate within a shared responsibility model across infrastructure/platform and mission/application teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating PeopleSoft in OCI or other cloud environments, including compartment/environment separation concepts.
  • Familiarity with DoD SCCA-aligned landing zone patterns and tenancy integration approaches (helpful for coordinating with platform teams).
  • Exposure to related ecosystem tools/services referenced in the program (e.g., logging/analytics, security monitoring, vulnerability management workflows).
  • Prior involvement in ATO activities, compliance reporting, and audit support in DoD contexts.
