This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Cybersecurity & Cloud Architect in Portugal.
As a Senior Cybersecurity & Cloud Architect, you will play a key role in defining and implementing secure cloud strategies across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You will work closely with technology and business teams to embed security into cloud-native deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise IT projects. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, helping shape resilient, compliant, and scalable architectures. You will identify emerging threats, lead risk assessments, and guide teams in applying best-in-class cybersecurity practices. Your work will have a direct impact on operational security, regulatory compliance, and the overall robustness of cloud platforms across the organization.
- Design and implement Zero Trust security architectures across cloud platforms, including GCP, Azure, AWS, and containerized environments such as Kubernetes.
- Define and align security strategies with business and technology objectives to ensure secure digital transformation initiatives.
- Architect and enforce cloud security controls covering identity, network, workload, and data protection.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and security reviews to proactively mitigate threats.
- Collaborate with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks, standards, and regulations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to technical teams on security best practices and cloud risk management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Security Architect, Cloud Security Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong expertise in cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and cloud security best practices.
- Hands-on experience securing cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) and containerized environments.
- Knowledge of IAM, network, endpoint, application, and container security.
- Familiarity with standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP, CIS Controls, MITRE ATT&CK, and NIS 2.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability for enterprise-scale cloud security projects.
