SUMMARY:

The Product Manager (PM) is the business owner of assigned product lines. This role is responsible for defining focus, building business plans, leading cross-functional planning, and driving programs from concept through commercialization. The PM ensures that LifeSync’s products and services are competitively positioned, financially healthy, customer-validated, and strategically prioritized.

This role requires proactive bias for action, strong technical curiosity, commercial passion, structured road mapping, and exceptional collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sales, and Marketing Communications.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

FOCUS (Full Ownership)

Define what we should build, why, and for whom.

Own the Product Roadmap, ensuring alignment with market needs, customer insights, and LifeSync strategic objectives.Own and lead the NOVA process (New Opportunity Value Assessment) to capture, evaluate, and prioritize new ideas across teams, ensuring strategic fit, feasibility, and high-impact resource allocation.Lead customer segmentation, target market definition, and prioritization of product opportunities.Conduct and maintain competitive landscape analyses, asset assessments, and VOC (voice of customer) programs.Define product positioning and differentiation, in partnership with Marketing.Translate unmet needs into clear, validated market requirements (MRD).Serve as the technical expert and subject matter authority for assigned product lines, providing guidance to engineering, operations, and commercial teams.Collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to ensure forecast alignment and demand planning accuracy across new and existing product lines.

2. BUSINESS (Full Ownership)

Drive financial and commercial viability.

Build and maintain the business plan for assigned products and services.Own the pricing strategy, working with Finance and Sales to set value-based pricing models and margin targets.Lead ongoing product profitability analysis, including cost movements, yield improvements, and portfolio optimization.Manage the EOL (End-of-Life) and product addition process, ensuring disciplined lifecycle management.Develop quarterly and annual strategic portfolio recommendations for leadership.


3. PLANNING (Full Ownership)

Translate strategy into execution plans.

Own the Requirements & Specs (PRD/MRD) process, ensuring engineering receives clear, validated inputs.Develop user personas, use cases, and customer workflows for new solutionsLead stakeholder communication, maintaining alignment across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sales, and Marketing.Build NPI gating plans, including timeline, scope, cost, regulatory pathway, and launch readiness criteria.Coordinate beta site evaluations and customer feedback cycles.


4. PROGRAMS (Full Ownership)

Drive adoption, launch, and commercial scale.

Lead product launches, from messaging to sales readiness to customer activation.Develop revenue growth plans, including lead-generation alignment with Marketing and Sales.Drive and measure retention strategies, including product performance improvements, training, and post-launch optimization.Build advocacy programs for ReLife and other sustainability or value-based initiatives.Own the definition of KPIs, tracking adoption, funnel performance, and return on program investment.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Collaboration Across the Organization)


MARKET (Collaborate)

Partner with Marketing and Sales on market size analysis (TAM/SAM/SOM), international opportunities, and market problem exploration.Support Win-Loss analysis and trade-off studies.Collaborate on IP strategy, special projects, and innovation exploration.


ENABLEMENT (Collaborate)

Support Sales Enablement through content, positioning, and product training.Partner with Marketing Communications on collateral, videos, presentations, and commercial messaging.Ensure CRM accuracy and forecasting insights in partnership with Sales.

SUPPORT (Collaborate)

Work with Operations on program deployment, supply chain stability, and cost management.Support Customer Service, Inside Sales, and Quality in escalations and field performance analysis.Contribute to internal and external presentations, events, and customer meetings.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge and Skills:

Basic understanding of ISO and FDA regulations is a plus.Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.Strong analytical, financial skills (pricing, margin analysis, forecasting) and attention to detail.Ability to translate complex technical details into clear customer value.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong communication skills — verbal, written, and executive presentation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Not required

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Engineering or related field (Business background preferred).8+ years in Product Management, Product Marketing, or OEM/contract manufacturing environments (medical device preferred).Proven experience defining roadmaps, building business cases, managing programs, or leading technical-commercial initiatives.Experience working closely with R&D, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Sales. PHYSICAL DEMAND: The position is primarily sedentary and requires comfort sitting at a desk for extended periods. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role operates in a standard office environment. TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Regular travel required (approximately 25-40% of time) required domestically and internationally for meetings, training, or product launches.
