Description: Western Building Products | Employee-Owned | Stable & Growing

Why this opportunity stands out

If you are a Manufacturing Engineer who wants to see your work make a real impact, this role delivers. At Western Building Products, engineering isn’t removed from production; it is embedded in it. You will be on the shop floor, solving problems, improving processes, and helping shape the business.

Western is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company, where employees share in the success they help create. We are a stand-alone, financially healthy organization on a three-year growth journey, investing in people, equipment, and processes while maintaining long-term stability.

The role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide hands-on engineering support to daily operations, driving improvements across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) while identifying constraints, eliminating waste, and implementing sustainable solutions.

You will collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, IT, and equipment vendors to ensure manufacturing processes are reliable, capable, and consistently meet performance and customer expectations. Your work will directly impact throughput, safety, quality, and long-term process stability.

What you will do

· Support and optimize manufacturing processes on the shop floor

· Identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve process flow and efficiency

· Lead projects to design, install, validate, and optimize manufacturing equipment and processes

· Apply root cause analysis and data-driven problem solving to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence

· Develop and maintain process documentation and support new production processes

· Ensure compliance with all safety and quality requirements

· Actively reinforce Western’s culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the work, partnering with production teams, and taking ownership of problems from start to finish.

Compensation and Benefits

Western Building Products offers competitive pay and benefits, including health, dental, and paid time off.
