Assistant Field Service Manager at Renewal by Andersen - The Birner Group – Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

We are hiring an Assistant Field Service Manager who will report directly to the Field Operations Manager and play a hands‑on role supporting daily field operations. This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys being in the field, coaching technicians, and ensuring work is completed efficiently, accurately, and right the first time.

What you'll do:

• Oversee and evaluate field service technicians five days per week, including training and onboarding new team members
• Ensure detailed notes and photos are entered into every service ticket after each customer interaction using Field Service Lightning
• Drive timely closeout of service work, with a strong focus on resolving needs on the first visit whenever possible
• Discuss the referral process with customers while maintaining a professional, customer‑first experience
• Manage parts and materials by inspecting inventory, stocking vehicles, assisting with unloading trucks, and completing inventory counts every Friday
• Communicate part needs to the purchasing coordinator to keep field teams fully prepared

You'll partner closely with installation teams to ensure installation and service Net Promoter Scores consistently meet or exceed 85%. Through ongoing coaching, evaluation, and field support, you'll help raise performance standards and strengthen accountability across the team.

Using Field Service Lightning, you'll maintain accurate documentation, detailed photos, and clear communication that support operational excellence and consistent service outcomes. This role is well‑suited for a hands‑on leader who builds trust through clear expectations and follow‑through.
