Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Universal Banker II is the “point of contact” for a majority of customers in their day-to-day transactions generally associated with teller work, customer service and new account services. This position is responsible for processing teller transactions accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while offering Bank products and services.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handles all teller and customer service functionalities
  • Reviews and count cash boxes when a teller has cash differences
  • Provides training to tellers as needed on handling cash and check transactions.
  • Provides dual control for vault opening, closing, cash shipment In and Out, and vault cash balancing.
  • Handles customer’s call and inquiries
  • Reviews of daily branch reports
  • Be acquainted with bank products/services
  • Handles new account opening and new service set-up.
  • Inputs new account data into the computer system and maintains the updated data.
  • Secures all needed documentation relative to the type of account that is being opened
  • Prepares new signature cards, etc., when an account has a change of authorized signatures
  • Coordinates with TMS to set up Business On-Line services.
  • Accepts and processes change of address request and Stop Payment Requests
  • Discovers each customer’s needs and recommends best products and services that suites the customer’s needs
  • Scans and files new signature card to the system, and re-index closed account signature cards
  • Processes check books and endorsement stamps orders
  • Performs additional duties assigned by management
  • Assists the Operations Officer/Operations Manager as needed or requested
  • Fully compliant with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Anti Money Laundering, Code of Conduct, and etc.) Must complete all required training.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of all operations departments of the Bank
  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with all types of customers
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in branch banking experience
